I don’t even necessarily eat them when I make them, just a taste or two.
I just really like the idea of it being a blank canvas for so many fun toppings and flavor combinations.
Hmmm…how about white chocolate macadamia nut pancakes? Gotta try that sometime soon! Sorry, got side-tracked.
Receiving feedback and comments on which recipe, or combination of mix-ins taste best together allows me to think of new and creative ways to make pancakes an exciting breakfast food.
I know, call me weird! I guess quirky sounds better.
Now that I think about it, it all started when my boyfriends’ mom gave me the Cuisinart Griddler. It’s my new favorite kitchen appliance. I almost wonder how I lived without it for all this time!!!!
The good news in regards to my pancake obsession…my boyfriend absolutely ADORES pancakes (especially cinnamon-y ones)! So, it works out pretty well for both of us.
We no longer buy store bought pancakes. It must be at least a year since I’ve seen a box of those things in my freezer.
I make the pancakes from scratch and make extra to freeze in an airtight container with wax paper in between stacks of 3. This makes it easy and convenient for him to have his homemade pancakes while I’m at the gym in the morning! He just pops them in the microwave for a minute or so and thanks his lucky stars for my new-found pancake obsession.

Why not host a Pancake Party?
I could make a few different flavors of pancakes and have a buffet of everyone’s favorite toppings and syrups? It was too good to be true!
So, I did.
Here are a few pictures from my Pancake Party Extravaganza!
I used a new pancake recipe and it was the best I’ve ever tasted.
Let the pancake glutton-fest begin!
I made plain buttermilk, chocolate chip, and banana cinnamon. I will post the photos and recipes of the pancakes after I recover from my carb overload!
Worth every calorie.
What are your favorite pancake toppings? Post your response in a comment. Would leave to hear some of your favorite just in case I have a Pancake Party Sequel!
