It was a Tuesday evening, I was relaxing, just sitting on the couch watching Food Network, when I suddenly felt the urge to eat something sweet. I did mention it was Tuesday right? Now, I am not normally one to indulge in a dessert on a weeknight, so I quickly began flipping through recipes I had clipped, printed, saved, etc, for something that would satisfy my craving, however, not cause me to feel like I tossed my diet down the drain on a Tuesday!
Then I found it. I found a recipe for Peanut Butter Oatmeal Honey Balls that were too good to be true.
No ingredients I didn’t already have.
It was literally a combine, mix, and scoop recipe. BINGO!
So, here is the recipe for the little peanut butter bites that curbed my Tuesday night craving for something sinful
Peanut Butter Oatmeal Honey Balls
- 4 tablespoons natural peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon skim milk (I actually used almond milk)
- 2 cups oats
1. Combine peanut butter and honey until blended. Stir in oats and milk until combined. Form into balls. I used my cookie scoop to make them uniform in size. Refrigerate if desired. I liked them freshly rolled!
-Use almond butter in place of peanut butter for a different flavor.
-Add a few mini chocolate chips.
-Mix in a tablespoon of cocoa powder.
